In addition to all the great walks, the club also has a lively social side to it. Annual events consist of the Christmas Party, Club Dinner and Summer Barbecue, (plus pretty much any other excuse we can find).
Just before Christmas the club organises a Christmas Party for members. It is normally held locally in Limerick and is well attended. It normally preseeded earlier in the day by a festive walk.
In February/March our club social secretary organises our Annual Dinner. This is normally involves a weekend away with a number of local walks and is held in different locations around the country.
Our Social Secretary organises a Club Barbecue for members every summer. The event is very popular and always has a great turnout. See the the Events page to sign up and pay on-line when the event is announced.
The club has a lively a book club run by a sub-group of members. Whether you’re a seasoned reader or just looking for a new way to connect, this is a relaxed, friendly space to explore stories, ideas, and perspectives — no cram sessions or literary snobbery required!

The club has a long held tradition where some Club Members meet for a drink on Thursday night. It's a very informal gathering, held in Fennessy's Pub pub after 9.30PM / 10.00pm, 1 New Street, Limerick City , http://www.fennessyspub.com.
